Welcome to pledge season! This is a joyful and happy time for us to reflect on the reasons we drive to this place weekly and call St. Michael’s our spiritual home.

John and I pledge each year because of Community with an intentional capital “C.”  We love the people we worship with, the smiles that greet us, and the support and camaraderie we feel in times of joy and challenge.  There is no where else in our lives that we feel this on a weekly basis.  We also love the fact that Community is not confined to the four walls of our building.  God calls us to preach the Gospel through ministries and care for our neighbors, and our congregation does this wholeheartedly and completely.  We fun/fundraise for the soul intention of serving our Community.  By ourselves we could not effectively feed the hungry, support our unhoused neighbors, build and maintain homes in neighborhoods facing poverty, or support schools with educational challenges.   But collectively, by supporting agencies that do this work daily, we make a tremendous impact.  John and I are very proud of what St. Michael’s accomplishes outside our four walls.

Creating stability for our Community inside our church, is dependent on our pledges.  We have awesome clergy and staff, an inspirational choir and music programs, and ministries that nurture our eldest and youngest members.  For me and John, our pledge is a personal response to God’s generosity.
